West Side Alliance S.C. exists to serve others through sport by inspiring greatness, cultivating friendships, producing excellence, and empowering ambitious dreams.
We challenge the status quo.
We transform the game.
We believe soccer can be more than a game.
It can be a vehicle to serve others, build friendships, pursue excellence, and inspire young people to dream ambitiously.
We provide access to high-level soccer for youth players of all backgrounds by helping bridge barriers of:
finances • language • culture • geography
We teach through a developmental model that encourages failure toward success, rewards ambition, fosters service to others, and requires perseverance.
We cultivate and attract coaches who teach to inspire youth, coach to develop youth, and lead to serve youth.

ORIGINAL MISSION STATEMENT DRAFTED 1998 BY JUDGE GORDON MCALLISTER, WSA'S FIRST PRESIDENT
The mission of the West Side Alliance soccer club is to provide a competitive soccer experience to boys and girls who desire to compete at an elite level of soccer.
West Side Alliance will create a safe, first-class environment which allows kids to learn teamwork, responsibility, self-motivation and self-discipline while experiencing the joy of the game of soccer.
The experience will be available to players irrespective of financial hardships. This will be done by keeping costs at a minimum, providing need based scholarships, keeping travel costs reasonable, and by having coaches, who because of their love of the game and desire to teach, will work without expectation of extravagant fees. Teams will be formed at a young age and coaches will remain committed to building and developing through both failure and success. |
