🙏 GRATITUDE UPDATE: LIGHT THE BANK THANK YOU! To every athlete, coach, manager, advocate who attended the Telethon Monday - THANK YOU.  We appreciate your presence (which is essence) at the LIGHT THE BANK TELETHON. 

💛 Thank you BattleCreek Church - BA, for hosting, Coach Javo for coordinating the venue, setup and tear-down, and Coach Abe for coordinating the fundraising platform at Fan-Pledge. 

👉FUNDRAISER UPDATE: WE WILL BE ADDING LIGHTS - THIS SEASON!  The telethon appears to have raised an initial $22,000.  This added to the previous commitments of $18,400 provides a working balance of $40,400 (today).  This is NOT the end - it is the START. 

👉PROJECT UPDATE:  We have already received 10 new LED lights.  5 will be dedicated to F10-12 and 5 will dedicated to F7-8.   

Reminder we have to replace HALOGEN lights to add new LED LIGHTS.  So we will be marking poles and preparing for this phase of the project which we will begin & complete this YEAR via EFFORT and GOD-WILLING we  avoid any major project snags. 

Roger met the electrician from VIKING ELECTRIC today, OCT 20, less than 12 hours after the TELETHON.  He is a former WSA parent w/ 2 athlete alumni and is excited to help us continue moving. 

THE PLAN pending some finalized financials:  

✅STEP 1:  Complete the sub-phase described above (10 new LED lights added - which will create a trainable space on F7 and expand lighting on F10 or F12) 

✅STEP 2: Contemplate setting 4 poles on F7/6 to ready F7 for additional lights.  Set 4 poles on F3 to ready F3/F12 for additional lights. 

✅STEP 3: Learn the estimate of the expense to build the infrastructure underground (from F12 and F8 to the north, to F3 and F7/6) to ready those poles to be electrified.  Assuming this is within the budget, then we move to Step 4. 

❗️STEP 4: Allocate funds for purchase of the WRIGHTS LIGHT, the “always on” light at West Bank.  Procure the light via ordering. This does not yet include the monument or infrastructure. 

❗️STEP 5: IF more funds are raised, at the $25K mark, move towards adding 5 lights to F3/2 and 5 lights to F7/6 - expanding lighting to the north.  Allocate funds towards Wright’s Light infrastructure.

❗️STEP 6: Data and performance check.  Retrieve data from this portion of the project to determine next steps based on performance and output. 

MY ESTIMATE:  We currently can proceed w/ STEPS 1-3.  We need further funding, approximately $25K more,  for STEPS 4-6.
