A WSA team manager enters a legacy worthy commission. The impact is multi-generational and transformative in the lives of young athletes.  

We outlined the task responsibilities in the previous components of the toolkit:  FINANCES, COMMUNICATION, OPERATIONS, RESOURCES, and ADVOCATE. 

The LEADERSHIP ROLE is a default role, that is attached to the position of team manager. Why? 

  • Your access to information, which can influence team decisions
  • Your understanding of club dynamics, that impact athletes and families 
  • Your responsibility to communicate, organize, and advocate creates an intimate relational equity to the people of your team

The 3 Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

MANAGE -> coordinate, organize, operate team business and team communication 
ADVOCATE -> support athletes, families, coaches, and the team vision 
LEAD -> decide how how to narrate information you communicate on behalf of the coach, club, or league
