WSA SPORTS PERF ZONE 3 MODULES - ECNL-RL, EA, NPL TEAMS

ZONE 3 MODULES:  Specified and periodized for WSA Girls ECNL-RL, WSA Boys EA, WSA Boys/Girls NPL.      

SEASON:
  

INDIVIDUALS: Individual can upgrade their training sessions outside the scope of the club/team training module to Zone 4 training (professional periodization). 

TEAM & CLUB:  WSA Club will cover part of the cost for the team's Sports Performance Training (see below) and the WSA team will cover the other portion of cost.  There are payment plans available for teams.  Teams will collect from individual families and use their team debit card to pay for the programming. 

 

ZONE 3 MODULES: ELITE TRAINING
TARGET: ECNL, ECNL-RL, NPL - Boys & Girls (13U-19U)
TRAINING ZONES:  Will be banded by age/gender.
GOAL: Wholistic, Integrated, Professionally Prepared Athletes

SPORTS PERFORMANCE PERIODIZATION SCHEDULE:
Mesocyles Integrated into Athlete's Seasonal Goals & Schedule



MODULE 1:
 PREASEASON TRAINING:  Transition from the end of season to beginning of new season with introduction to speed, coordination, balance, explosion, running mechanics, flexibility, recovery, and regeneration.  Session directed by certified ATR trainer with team targets set by team coaching staff

 

WEEK 1: 2 sessions/week, July 19th
WEEK 2: 2 sessions/week, July 26th


MODULE 2: Work Phase - Speed, Injury Prevention, Functional Strength: Create a sports performance base for running, agility, coordination, balance, proper cut-stop mechanics for injury mitigation, improve power and explosiveness.  


WEEK 3: 2 sessions/week, August 2nd
WEEK 4: 2 sessions/week, August 9th

WEEK 5: 2 sessions/week, August 16th 
WEEK 6: 1-2 sessions/week, August 23rd 


MODULE 3: In-Season Performance I - Season Incorporation:  Training is incorporated into the team's periodization schedule, including games and training sessions. The focus is development of previous outcomes, as well as regeneration, recovery, and development of proper movement mechanics, functional to competition. 

WEEK 7: 1 session/week, Aug 30th 
WEEK 8: 1 session/week, Sept 6th
WEEK 9: 1 session/week, Sept 13th
WEEK 10: 1 session/week, Sept 20th
WEEK 11: 1 session/week, Sept 27th 
WEEK 12: 1 session/week, Oct 4


MODULE 4: In-Season Performance II - Season Incorporation: Training is incorporated into the team's periodization schedule, including games and training sessions. The focus is development of previous outcomes, as well as regeneration, recovery, and development of proper movement mechanics, functional to competition. 
 

WEEK 13: 1 session/week, Oct 11th
WEEK 14: 1 session/week, Oct 18th * Fall Break
WEEK 15: 1 session/week, Oct 25th 
WEEK 16: 1 session/week, Nov 1st 
WEEK 17: 1 session/week, Nov 8th 
WEEK 18: 1 session/week, Nov 15th
WEEK 19: 1 session/week, Nov 22nd * Thanksgiving Week


MODULE 5: Off-Season Performance I - Speed Mechanics & Strength: Training to focus on development of speed, quickness, and running mechanics to mitigate injuries.

WEEK 21: 1 session/week, Dec 6th 
WEEK 22: 1 session/week, Dec 13th
WEEK 23: 1 session/week, Dec 20th 
WEEK 24: 1 session/week, Dec 27th 
WEEK 25: 1 session/week, Jan 3rd 


MODULE 6: Off-Season Performance II Bridging the OffSeason: Speed Mechanics & Strength: Training to focus on development of speed, quickness, and running mechanics to mitigate injuries.

WEEK 3: 1 session/week, Jan 24
