WSA COLLEGE SEARCH PROGRAM

THE 6-YEAR PATHWAY

A SMARTER PATH TO COLLEGE SOCCER

The 6-Year Pathway is designed for athletes who want to continue playing at the college level while developing physically, academically, and financially for long-term success.

This pathway allows players to:

  • continue competing at a high level
  • mature physically and mentally
  • save significant money on college costs
  • position themselves for a transfer to a D1 or D2 program

HOW THE PATHWAY WORKS

YEAR 1–2

Junior College (JUCO) Development Phase

Players begin their college journey at a Junior College or developmental college environment while continuing to grow:

  • physically
  • academically
  • athletically

Some athletes may also:

  • play club during Year 1
  • transition into JUCO or entry-level college play in Year 2

while still earning:

  • an Associate’s Degree
  • transferable college credits
  • a pathway toward a Bachelor’s Degree

ATHLETIC OUTCOME

  • 2–4 year D1 or D2 college soccer career

ACADEMIC OUTCOME
