development of the person is our most important objective. Person > Player is our teaching philosophy. We understand each player has a unique development pathway, timeline, and process. We have created programming levels and processes to ensure each player is challenged to grow.

Player Development is a long-term process. It requires patience, understanding, and endurance. We have a plan for every player. Our technical staff is unrivaled in experience, and has tailored a curriculum to help each player reach their potential.

Player development is the priority ahead of results, and balancing learning through competition, failure and success, is key. The Growth Mindset environment that encourages Failing -> Forward is highlighted. Players are placed on teams by ability to ensure they are challenged each time they step on the field.

Players become serious about soccer. Decisions start to be made about whether or not soccer is going to be a lifelong passion or a fun pastime. Players fully understand technical and tactical aspects of the game. From a player development standpoint performance and results matter, have consequences, and learning the game through that lens helps produce the best possible teammate, leader, and servant character. WSA's game model focuses on the production of a player who is a problem solver and decision maker, confident on the ball, and a servant leader.
Players are prepared to succeed at the college and potentially professional levels. Teams begin attending showcases, players participate in ID Centers, and next level opportunities become a part of the environment. At this stage the player development mantra of PERSON > PLAYER still reigns, and the Growth Mindset environment becomes more important to continue to drive the FAIL -> FORWARD mantra which WSA believes helps each player, and team, reach their full potential.
